Area business kicks off Developmental Disability Awareness Month with discounts, donations

Marissa Ieraci-Tomlin, owner of Gemini’s Closet Consignment Shop at 2027 Military Road, will hold a fundraising event for Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara on March 4 (11 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and March 5 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Ten percent of all sales will benefit programs and services for people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities supported by the agency. As a special way to acknowledge her customers, shoppers will be offered a 10 percent discount on all sales during this time.
