The Arc of Chemung has announces it recently received two grants totaling $17,000 from NYSARC Trust Services.
An $8,000 grant was received for the Arc of Chemung’s Recreation Program that creates recreation, socialization and leisure opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
A $9,000 grant was received for the Arc of Chemung’s Guardianship Program that administers guardianship services under the auspices of NYSARC Inc. Corporate Guardianship Program. This program is intended to provide guardianship support to for individuals who need it but who have limited availability of family or other natural supports to fulfill this role.
Almost $1.9 million in restricted grants from the NYSARC Trusts Remainder Funds has been awarded so far this year to support recreation and guardianship statewide.
