Scout project aids special needs school

SNYDER, NY – It was hot working outside on Saturday but a young Eagle Scout candidate here in Western New York made sure he could make a difference for others.

Jacob Stives came up with the idea of initiating a number of indoor and outdoor improvement projects for the Bornhava School, which is an early childhood center for children with developmental disabilities.

Stives himself graduated from Bornhava and decided he wanted to work with his fellow scouts from Troop 285 to give back.
