Annual performance for special needs dancers

CHEEKTOWAGA, NY – The dancing talent of some young men and women and adults of Western New York on display Saturday. It was the 8th annual performance of the “Dance for Today” show featuring the students, staffers and volunteers with the Danceability program.The non-profit agency offers dance movement for those individuals with special needs such as autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, cerebral palsy and other conditions.Obviously, they have a lot of fun, but it also helps them to interact with others and build up confidence. So far, the Danceability program has helped more than 250 dancers and their families. On Saturday, Channel 2’s Claudine Ewing and Melissa Holmes emceed the event which was held in the Cleveland Hill High School auditorium.
