Program planned on care for the disabled and frail – City & Region – The Buffalo News

A free program for health professionals and students on caring for people with developmental disabilities who are medically frail will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday in the Social Room of the Wick Campus Center at Daemen College.Speakers will include Theresa Drum and Tonia Weichmann from the Parent Network of Western New York; Samuel Mattle, executive director of the Center for Self Advocacy; and Erica Newsom of Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled.Sessions will cover communication and advocacy, creating health plans for families, children and adults, and accessing community resources.
